LITTLE FALLS -- A 25-year-old Little Falls man was arrested after fleeing officers early today, the Little Falls Police Department said.

The department received a call at 1:46 a.m. today about a disturbance behind the Little Falls Super America Station. The caller reported one of the suspects had a rifle and fled in a pickup.

Little Falls Police Chief Mike Pender said police officers and Morrison County Sheriff's Department deputies pulled the suspect over and he was ordered out of his vehicle. The suspect exited his vehicle but then jumped back in and fled from officers.

The suspect was pursued westbound on Highway 27 with speeds reaching 120 mph. The Todd County Sheriff's Department and the Long Prairie Police Department assisted and were able to slow the vehicle by using stop sticks that punctured the vehicle's tires. The suspect continued to flee and jumped from the moving truck a short distance later. He was quickly arrested west of Long Prairie on Highway 27 for felony fleeing, DUI and assault.

Pender said officers recovered a loaded .22-caliber rifle from the suspect's vehicle.
