Seasonal Flu Mist Walk-In Clinic (not H1N1) planned

Crow Wing County Public Health will be offering a seasonal flu shots and FluMist (not H1N1) clinic from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Crow Wing County Community Service Public Health Office, 204 Laurel Street, Suite 12, Brainerd. Walk-ins only. No appointments will be made.

FluShots are for people ages 6 months and older.

FluMist is for healthy people ages 2-49. People who have chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes or heart conditions cannot receive a FluMist. Also, pregnant women can not receive FluMist.

Cost is $25 per vaccination or CWCPH will bill Medicare Part B, Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare. You must bring your card. Some $5 vaccine will be available for children ages 2-18 years who meet the Minnesota Vaccines for Children eligibility guidelines. No one will be turned away for inability to pay, however, if your private insurance covers this vaccine in full, you are asked to go to your provider or pay the $25 fee. The county does not bill private insurance.
