Faced with a rapidly growing list of riders this year, Brainerd Dial-A-Ride officials decided today to ask the city for permission to operate a third bus.

30 years ago (1972)

The Brainerd Warriors used superior size to a great advantage on their way to an 87-50 romp over Park Rapids on the Panther's home court.

40 years ago (1962)

Jerry Lyscio (30 points in two games), who was the playmaker in the Warriors' 57-49 triumph over favored Crosby-Ironton, was one of the players represented on the WCCO Prep Parade basketball team.

60 years ago (1942)

The Brainerd Lions Club at a duck dinner in the Legion hall, tonight, will complete plans for the annual Lions Club Christmas dinner.

80 years ago (1922)

The World War veterans at their special meeting Friday evening showed their hearts were in the right places when they donated $10 to the Salvation Army for its Christmas activities.

100 years ago (1902)
