Auditions for "Waiting for Godot" will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Dryden Theatre at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
Director Patrick Spradlin is seeking four men ages 18 to 60 and one boy age 12 to 14.
Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" has been called "one of the true masterpieces of the century" by Clive Barnes in the New York Times.
The story line features two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone, or something, named Godot, inhabiting a drama spun from their own consciousness. The result is a comical word play of poetry, dreamscapes and nonsense.
Those auditioning should prepare a one- to two-minute monologue, dramatic or comedic, memorized for performance. An exhibition of improvisational skills also will be required.
The play will open Feb. 26 and run through March 4.
