AITKIN -- Ripple River Gallery will feature an emerging artist and a variety of other printmakers through December.
Original prints -- woodblocks, linocuts, dry point etchings and monoprints -- by Trevor Roediger will be featured. Roediger was born and raised in Manhattan, Kan. He works with different techniques of printmaking but prefers figure and landscape monoprints. Limited color is used on each print so as not to overwhelm the viewer.
Roediger's work is showcased with three well-established printmakers -- woodblock artist Charles Beck of Fergus Falls, Jauneth Skinner of Bemidji and Jerry Riach of Eden Prairie.
Ripple River Gallery is open year-round. Hours through December are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays-Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. The gallery's holiday open house is set Dec. 13 and 14.
The gallery is five miles south of Deerwood on Highway 6, then 3 miles east of Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge on County Road 14 to Partridge Avenue; or south of Aitkin on Highway 169 to Bennettville, then 3.2 miles west on County Road 11 to Partridge Avenue.
