Approximately 45 BHS students will reap the benefits of a fine-tuned body. Students pump iron in the BHS weight room three times per week from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

30 years ago (1978)

The Brainerd Streets Department recently dressed up snow removal equipment by painting faces on V-plows. A smiling face is painted on the plow that plows light snow and a frown face is painted on the plow that plows heavy snow fall.

40 years ago (1968)

The Brainerd School Board last night discussed the possibility of hiring social workers for the school system. It was suggested that they could have three social workers at approximately $12,000 per social worker.

60 years ago (1948)

When sophomore Jim Smith sank 19 points through the hoop for Brained against Little Falls, he didn't know it, but he was outscoring all cagers in the Central Ten Conference.

80 years ago (1928)

School Brainonian: Last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. William Garvey entertained at a 6 o'clock dinner at Garvey's restaurant in honor of the BHS football lettermen. Of the 18 lettermen, 15 were present and enjoyed the chicken dinner to the utmost.

100 years ago (1908)

The new city Light and Water Board is now fully organized. It met a few evenings ago and elected F.A. Farrar as its president and Judd Wright as secretary.
