The Christmas party for the Heartland Senior Federation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Bonanza. All members are invited. Buy your own lunch. Gifts must be wrapped and are exchanged by a drawing. Do not put a name on the gift.
16th annual Christmas arts and crafts fair
The 16th annual Christmas arts and crafts fair will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Club Room in Pine River. Arts and crafts of all kinds, baked goods, lefse, rosettes and homemade candy will be available. Noon lunch served. The event is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 613, Pine River.
Brunch with Santa
Brunch With Santa, a 35 year tradition in the Brainerd lakes area, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Brainerd High School Cafeteria. Santa will be available for personal consultations with kids and adults and photos are available. This year's brunch will feature a special Brunch Theater performance of the Elves and the Shoemaker by Baxter Elementary's Kids' Act Productions in the high school theater at 9:15 and 10:15 a.m. Theater admission is free with each brunch ticket.
Additional entertainment will be provided by Harmony Engineers and Michael the Juggler.
The brunch menu will be cinnamon French toast, egg wrap with salsa, sausage, fruit and beverages.
Ticket prices are $6.95 for adults; kids 4 to 12 are $3.95 and 3 years and under are $2.
The Senior Center Golden Years Gift Shop will feature handmade gifts for holiday giving.
Tickets may be purchased at the Brainerd Family YMCA, The Fine Line Hair Salon, Music General, The Brainerd Daily Dispatch, Brainerd Community Ed, Brainerd Community Action and at the door.
This annual event is a fundraiser for Youth As Resources, a program of Brainerd Community Action, a 501(c)(3). YAR provides grants to youth for service projects that benefit our community.
