Sellnow, Andy Pickar win titles

BLUE EARTH -- Brainerd Warriors wrestler Vince Sellnow started the season with a blast by winning all three of his matches at the Blue Earth Dick Mahar Invitational Saturday.

The Warriors, who finished fourth as a team with 111.5 points, did not compete at 103, 189 or heavyweight.

Sellnow defeated Chris Leiferman of Madelia-Truman with a technical fall at 3:35. He beat Taylor Teems of Blue Earth by an 8-4 score and pinned Jimmy Raymond of Spring Lake Park at the 3:39 mark.

Brainerd's Andy Pickar also was a champion. He won by a 10-3 decision over Brady James of Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, then pinned Brad Arkell of Madelia-Truman in 4:40 and beat Josh Malwitz of Blue Earth 8-1.
