Minneapolis women romp past Raiders in opener

MINNEAPOLIS -- Practice on Monday will be welcomed by the Central Lakes College Raiders women's basketball team after it was defeated 85-45 by the Minneapolis Marauders in the season opener Saturday.

"We made a lot of freshmen mistakes," said Raiders coach Dennis Eastman. "I can't wait for practice Monday so we can get back to work. We need a good week of practice."

The Raiders committed 33 turnovers and only shot 29 percent from the field. Leading the Raiders were Val Diedrich, who had 13 points, and Molly RoggenKamp with 10.
