Jack Ruttger, longtime owner and operator of Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge, will be honored next month as recipient of the 1986 Brainerd Citizen of the Year award.

A project that is an example of self-help on the part of local businessmen became a reality yesterday when the parking lot on Burlington Northern property opened for business. The 83-stall lot is designated to be a contracted parking lot for downtown workers.
