Heartland Hospice expects to open its Brainerd office at 607 Oak St. in mid-December, a little later than first expected.

Ericka Haug is the new admission director for Heartland Home Health Care, Hospice & Infusion. Hospice uses a team of health care professionals and trained volunteers to provide pain-management, symptom control, psychosocial support and spiritual care to patients and their families coping with life-limiting illness.

LF School Board to meet

LITTLE FALLS - The Little Falls School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Morrison County Government Center in Little Falls for its truth in taxation hearing that will be followed by the business meeting.

November snowfall far below average in Brainerd

Snowfall in Brainerd totaled 1.5 inches in November compared to a 10-year average of 8.2 inches, the Brainerd DNR office reported. Precipitation for the month was .71 of an inch compared to an average of 1.70 inches.

The seasonal snowfall total of 1.5 inches compares to an average of 9 inches.

High temperature in November was 67 degrees on Nov. 8. The month's low temperature was 2 degrees recorded on Thursday.
