The Brainerd Family YMCA has kicked off its second annual Y Partners Support campaign with a goal of $40,000. Kurt Nelson, volunteer chairman, will lead the YMCA's campaign.
Funds from this campaign will provide membership and program assistance to low-income youth and families in the area. This year close to 500 individuals qualified for free or reduced memberships. The YMCA currently serves more than 3,400 members and 7,000 program participants each year. For more information, call the YMCA at 829-4767.
