Helen G. Vadnais

Helen Geneva Vadnais, age 95, resident of Brainerd, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at her home. Helen was born on March 18, 1912, to Frank and Geneva (Poole) Dodsworth. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Elks and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Rolling Rangers local chapter and Good Sam's Club. Helen was known as the "Cookie Grandma" to her grandchildren and she enjoyed baking cookies for her family and friends and great-grandchildren and making crafts.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Teigen and Barbara and Alan Whitted; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; her nieces and nephews, Art Ludwig, Raymond and Jill Ludwig, Helen Isle, Geneva "Ginny" and Alvy Alger, Mary Decker and Linda and Bob Carisch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill"; son, Frank; sister, Dolores Gorman; and brother, Frank Dodsworth.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Gabriel Waweru officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.

Memorials preferred to Legionville.
