Isn't it amazing how all of this snow has uncovered the serious snow enthusiasts?
All around town you can hear winter people talking excitedly about how they can't wait to get outside to enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, building snowmen, skating and snowboarding.
It just so happens that we at Kinship Partners have a young man on our waiting list who describes himself as a "winter boy!" He loves playing in the snow, sledding, skating and snowboarding. He says he's never had the chance to snowmobile, but he knows he'd love that, too. When the snow does melt, he also loves football, soccer, bike riding, going to the YMCA, fishing and other activities too numerous to mention.
Kenny is a 10-year old fifth-grader who describes himself as "friendly, fun, nice, talkative, sensitive to others, kind and sometimes "crabby." His mother describes him as being shy at first and very active. He lives with his mom, grandma and older brother in Brainerd. He'd like to have a "big, strong guy" for his partner. Kenny said it would be fine if his partner was married and had kids of his own, and he'd really like it if his partner had pets. He especially wants a partner who is a "winter guy" like he is.
If you've been one of those people having trouble containing your excitement about the snow this week, remember there is at least one young man on our waiting list who would love to join you for "fun in the snow." If you act now, you and Kenny could become partners and be out enjoying winter in just a few weeks. Please give us a call to find out more about Kenny or any of the other children on our waiting list.
