MONROE, Wis. -- Helen C. Englert, 88, Monroe, Wis., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Monroe.
She was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Brainerd to George and Ella (Evans) Figge. She married Ruben Englert in December 1944. They lived in Villa Park, Ill. She was employed as an optometrist assistant until her retirement. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Monroe.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Verdone, Milwaukee, and Janine Schramm, Monroe; one son, John George Englert, Fond du Lac, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her husband; two brothers; and two sisters, Lucille Feeney and Viola Fantar, died earlier.
Services will be 5 p.m. today at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive, Monroe, with Pastor Michael A. Wolff officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
