LITTLE FALLS -- Sandra J. Carson, 53, Little Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
She was born July 29, 1949, in Pipestone to Merl and Wanda (Weatherly) Fellman. She grew up in Pipestone and graduated from Pipestone High School. She married James Carson on June 27, 1970, in Pipestone. They lived in Greeley, Colo., from 1969 to 1975 where she graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. They moved to Hillman where they co-owned and operated Squaw Point Resort from 1975 to 1981. In 1983, they moved to Paynesville where they lived for seven years. They moved to Little Falls in 1990. She worked for the Little Falls School District as a teacher and advocate for the medically fragile children in the Little Falls area. She was active in the Little Falls Assembly of God Church, teaching various ages of children about Jesus. She also was involved in the Mission Board, Missionetts, Boys & Girls Missionary Crusade, Kids Alive and the Employment Enterprizes Inc. Board.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Amanda Billing, LaCrescent, Emily Yorek, Minneapolis, Sarah Carson and Rachel Carson, both of Little Falls; her mother, Wanda Fellman, Hillman; a brother, Steve Fellman, Wyoming, Minn.; a sister, Linda Eiesland, Brainerd; and five grandsons.
Her father died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Little Falls Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Keith Thompson officiating.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Little Falls Assembly of God Church.
