The Brainerd Family YMCA will host Teen Scene Friday for fifth- and sixth-graders. There will be music, dodgeball, concession items and Giovanni's pizza.
The cost per person is $5. Teen Scene is from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Brainerd Family YMCA.

Speed enforcement nets 529 in area
Law enforcement agencies enforcing speed limits through HEAT (highway enforcement of aggressive traffic) stopped 16,983 vehicles resulting in 5,521 speed citations during a Aug. 12 through Oct. 7 effort, the Department of Public Safety reported.
With the exception of a slight increase on I-35 in the metro area, vehicle travel speeds over 70 mph continued to drop on metro and greater Minnesota roadways.
In the Brainerd District of the State Patrol, law enforcement made 1,360 stops and issued 529 citations.
Ironton project is awarded grant
IRONTON - The city of Ironton received a grant in the amount of $14,125 to restore its city hall as one of 50 projects selected by the Minnesota Historical Society.
Rep. John Ward, DFL-Brainerd, who announced the awarding of the grant, congratulated the city's staff and elected officials. He said there was considerable competition for limited funds and many worthwhile projects were not approved.
Applicants receiving grants must match their awards.
Airport commission to meet Dec. 4
The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 in the airport conference room.
