Tour the Little Falls mansions

Posted: Friday, November 29, 2002

Musser Memories is the theme as Linden Hill's Musser and Weyerhaeuser homes are decorated for the holiday season.

This year's theme will highlight the Musser family's extraordinary life. The memory tree represents many family photographs found in the homes. The traditional hat tree is filled with the head wear that reflects an historical timeline of fashions from the 1890s to the present day. Other newly discovered treasures will be displayed on all four floors of both the Musser and Weyerhaeuser homes.

Gold decorations create a classic Christmas setting in the Weyerhaeuser home and family photographs personalize the tree. The Weyerhaeuser mansion and neighboring Musser mansion were built in 1899. Together the properties, situated on nine acres in Little Falls, are known as Linden Hill.

Linden Hill is located at 608 Highland Ave. in Little Falls. The homes will be open for self-guided or group tours every day from 1 to 6 p.m. today through Dec. 8. Fee is $10 per person, refreshment included.
