New Christian music radio station to target lakes area youths ages 12-24
PEQUOT LAKES -- After cutting through eight years of red tape, Minnesota Christian Broadcasters Inc., is starting a new Christian radio station in the lakes area.
CLC instructor sheds light on Islam faith
CROSBY -- Islam, the world's fastest-growing religion and a faith with its own dangerous zealots, "went under the microscope" at the inaugural program of Unlimited Learning for lakes area residents.
The Temple Baptist Church of Brainerd will celebrate its 120th anniversary Sunday in the fellowship hall at 9:30 a.m. Rolls and coffee will be served. The celebration will continue in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. and will feature a musical mini-concert by the Berge Family of Bemidji.

NOVEMBER 29 - 40 years ago (1962) - The city's official Christmas tree near the Northern Pacific Depot, was donated to the city by Paul Dybrik, 1420 Oak. The tree was estimated the height of 50 feet and was 48 years old.
Season of buying off to strong start in lakes area

Because of incorrect information provided The Dispatch, injury information in an accident report on a single-vehicle rollover on Page 5A last Friday was incorrect. The driver, Thomas Austin, 42, Brainerd, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital. Thomas was listed in good condition Wednesday morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.
