Russell to speak to boosters

Central Lakes College Raiders men's basketball coach Jim Russell will be the speaker at the Brainerd Sports Boosters Club meeting, which begins noon Friday at the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen.
The soup kitchen is located at 923 Oak St. between the Triangle Store and Temple Baptist Church. Parking is available behind the church or on 10th Street.
Effective Dec. 6, meetings will switch to noon Thursdays for the remainder of the school year.
S-M's Farber to run
in Junior Olympics
Staples-Motley cross country runner Charles Farber will compete in the Junior Olympic cross country national championships at Lincoln, Neb., on Dec. 8.
Farber, 14, was a member of the Staples-Motley boys' cross country team that won the Class A state championship this fall.
