ST. PAUL -- Gov. Jesse Ventura's approval rating dipped sharply in a St. Cloud State University poll that also documented a drop in the percentage of voters who say they would support him for re-election.
Results of the annual fall political poll -- released Tuesday by three university professors -- showed that 44 percent of respondents rated Ventura's overall performance as "excellent" or "pretty good," down from the 63 percent who viewed him that way a year ago.
"It's still not awful," said Professor Steven Wagner. "But a drop of 20 points is substantial."
