Brainerd PUC meeting set Friday

BAXTER -- The Brainerd Public Utilities Commission will meet 3 p.m. Friday at 1151 Highland Scenic Drive in Baxter.
Elks memorial service is Sunday
Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615 will conduct its annual memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday at the lodge, 202 S. Fourth St. in Brainerd.
The service is open to the public and is conducted to honor area Elks members who have died during the year.
The American Legion and VFW color guards will attend the program, which will be directed by the Elks Lodge officers.
Exalted Ruler Herman Wisneski will give the memorial address.
The Northcountrymen Barbershop Chorus will provide musical interludes.
The Elks Lodge Ladies will provide a light lunch after the ceremonies.
