Edina Realty gives checks to charities
CROSSLAKE -- Edina Realty of Crosslake presented checks to three area charities Nov. 12.
Monies were raised by raffling a playhouse last summer in Crosslake. Wes Hanson built the playhouse and Simonson Lumber donated the materials. Kathy Sanford of Princeton was the winner. The raffle raised $2,800 and Edina Realty Foundation donated another $2,000 for a total of $4,800.
A portion of each agent's earnings are donated to the Edina Foundation to support community projects like this. Checks were given to Lutheran Social Services, Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army.
The monies are to be used in the Crosslake area for specific housing needs. Accepting checks were Kevin Pelkey, director, Habitat for Humanity; Patrice O'Leary, Lutheran Social Services; and Bryan Reed, captain, Salvation Army.
