Salvation Army seeks recycled toys
The Salvation Army in Brainerd is in need of recycled toys for the holiday season.
This program is intended to supplement "Toys for Kids" and other area Christmas gift programs. But instead of new merchandise, the Salvation Army hopes to give new life to secondhand toys by redistributing them to youngsters in need.
Toys in good condition can be dropped off at Mills Ford, Dondelinger, Tanner Motors or between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Salvation Army's Brainerd Community Center, 208 S. Fifth St.
Volunteers are needed to help sort and clean toys. Also needed are volunteer bell-ringers at the Salvation Army kettles.
