We're entering the magical, mystical Christmas season. We've just spent Thanksgiving counting our many blessings, but before long the snow will be falling, ice will be forming and those of us who wait all year for winter will finally be in our glory.
All of you winter people, please take note. We at Kinship Partners have a young gal on our waiting list who most definitely can be described as a winter girl. The first four things she lists as activities she enjoys are making snow angels, building snowmen, making and throwing snowballs and building snow forts. For you winter, fun-in-the-snow people, you won't find a better match.
Abby is a fourth-grader who loves art and math. She has two younger brothers and lives with her mom and step-dad. She's experienced some really though times in her young life, but she's adjusting to a new town, new school and new friends. She described herself as quiet, shy, happy and friendly. She is very considerate of others and is sensitive to the needs of other people.
Because it can't be winter all the time, Abby has quite a list of activities she enjoys in other types of weather. For instance, she loves arts and crafts, writing stories and poems, animals, camping, swimming, biking, cooking, singing, painting, talking, boating, fishing and going to museums and the YMCA.
Even though this is an extremely busy time of the year, please keep in mind we have kids who could use an adult friend. If you're an adult who loves winter, so much the better for Abby. We'll look forward to hearing from you. We can be reached at 829-4606 in Brainerd, firstname.lastname@example.org; 568-4015 in Pequot Lakes, email@example.com; or toll free at 877-730-5437.
