Lula V. Wicht

VERNDALE -- Lula V. Wicht, 90, Verndale, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.

She was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Grand Rapids to Lon and Alice (Maule) Johnson. She married Sylvester O. Wicht on Nov. 15, 1934, in Wadena. He died March 7, 1993. They lived in Cando, N.D., and then moved to Thomastown Township in Wadena County where they farmed until retiring. They moved to rural Verndale. She was a member of the Sunshine Club and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Wicht, Verndale, and Arnold Wicht, Anoka; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband; a son, Richard Eugene; six brothers; and five sisters died earlier.

Services were at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Moeller Jr. officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Arrangements were with the Bielema Family Funeral Home in Verndale.
