Arvilla V. King

GRAND RAPIDS -- Arvilla Verniel King, 73, Grand Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Deer River Health Care Center in Deer River.

She was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Hillman to Fred and Marie (Brown) Tretter. She graduated from Onamia High School. She married Richard King on May 5, 1946, in Hillman and moved to Brainerd. She moved to Grand Rapids in 1976. While in Grand Rapids, she worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 and also worked as a Shaklee distributor.

Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Rehling, Monticello, Ga., Susie Rehling, Brainerd, Jody Pettey, Bethel, and Becky King, Deer River; two sons, Bill, Garrison, and Mike, Grand Rapids; her mother, Hillman; a sister, Terry Seelen, Hillman; and two brothers, Dale Tretter, Montrose, and Ronald Tretter, Maple Grove.

Her father and her husband, Richard, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Community Church in Hillman with the Rev. David M. Gouldin officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Hillman.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. today at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids and an hour before services today at the church.
