Central Lakes College hosts 'Legislative Outlook '04'

Legislators joined business leaders from across the region recently for "Legislative Outlook '04" on the Brainerd and Staples campuses of Central Lakes College.

CLC President Joe Birmingham reported progress made in response to workforce needs and careers in demand.

At Staples, state Sen. Cal Larson of Fergus Falls and state Reps. Dean Simpson of New York Mills and Mary Ellen Otremba of Long Prairie discussed prospects for legislation in support of college facility improvements.

In Brainerd, state Sens. Paul Koering of Fort Ripley and Carrie Ruud of Breezy Point listened and provided insight for college and business representatives.
