CROSSLAKE -- Kurt E. Anderson, 65, Crosslake, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at home.
He was born June 23, 1937, in St. Paul to Carl E. and Esther (Risberg) Anderson. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in St. Paul. After high school, he began working for the Minnesota Highway Department. He married Patricia Israel on Aug. 16, 1958, in Isanti. In 1968 he became an insurance agent with MSI. They moved to Crosslake in 1972. He was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church where he was vice president of the council. He was a mayor of Crosslake for six years, a council member, member of the telephone commission, charter member of the Crosslake-Ideal Lions Club and assistant chief of the Crosslake Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christine Anderson, Pequot Lakes, and Jennifer Henderson, Crosslake; a son, Keith Anderson, Crosslake; six grandchildren; and a brother, Milo Anderson, Stillwater.
His parents died earlier.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crosslake Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph's Hospice or the Crosslake Lutheran Church.
Friends may call an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
