RANDALL -- Gertrude Eleanor Brummer, 89, Randall, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the County Manor Nursing Home in Sartell.
She was born May 24, 1911, in Pierz to Theodore and Mary (Schmidtbauer) Kasper. She attended a country school in the area. She married George Brummer on May 30, 1939, and they moved to Randall. She cooked at Randall School and worked in the housekeeping department at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. In 1996, she moved to the Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, its mission groups and sewing circles, the Randall VFW Auxiliary and was active in the Randall Civic League.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Woods, Bellingham, Wash.; two sons, Roger Brummer, Fairfield, Calif., and Roland Brummer, St. Cloud; two sisters, Viola Gruber, Pierz, and Theresa Thommes, Sartell; a brother, Leonard Kasper, Pierz; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband; a daughter, Jean Ann Weiss; three sisters, Mary Ann, Clara and Leona; and two brothers, John and Herman, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Randall with Father Al Quade officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in Randall.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, with prayers at 7 p.m., at Brenny Funeral Home in Randall.
