Stephanie Neugebauer scored 19 points to lead the Central Lakes College Raiders women's basketball team past Western Technical College 60-57 in the final game of the CLC Fall Classic on Saturday.
"Our first game Friday was good but the one Saturday was one of those first back-to-back games of the year," Raiders coach Dennis Eastman said. "It was very sloppy and probably not a lot of fun to watch but in games like that you have to suck it up and play and we came out with a win, which is the most important thing."
Becky Skiba was also a key component in CLC's victory, scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Brandi Cresap added eight points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists.
"We saw that we have to work on our offense a little more and show a little more consistency," Eastman said. "We also need to work on our back-side defense a bit but the big thing is coming out of this weekend 2-0 and playing pretty good basketball."
