Margaret Pick

PIERZ -- Margaret Pick, 85, Pierz, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at St. Gabriel's Hospital of Little Falls.

She was born March 18, 1915, in Luxemburg to Joseph and Mary (Schwegler) Thelen. She married Christopher Pick on Nov. 20, 1934, in Albany. They lived in Springhill for a year and then moved to St. Anthony for five years and then to Buckman. In 1985, after the death of her husband, she moved to Pierz. She catered weddings and worked in the housekeeping department at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz. She was a 60-year member of St. Michael's Christian Mother's Society and a member of the Catholic Aid Association since 1933.

Survivors include three sons, Donald, Fargo, N.D., Alvin, Buckman, and Roger, Ramey; three daughters, Bernadine Sauer, St. Paul, Mary Brenny, Rice, and Susanna Gorecki, Gilman; 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a half brother, August Thelen, Racine, Wis.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Buckman with Father Ron Dockendorf officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery of Buckman.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, with Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until services Saturday at Brenny Funeral Home of Pierz, with St. Michael's Catholic Aid praying the rosary at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
