East Grand Forks tops Flying Warriors

EAST GRAND FORKS - Lizzy Desroscher had a goal and an assist and Sarah Sorenson scored a second-period goal for the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors in a 6-2 loss to East Grand Forks Saturday.

Desroscher's first-period goal gave Brainerd/Little Falls a 1-0 lead, but East Grand Forks scored the next two goals in the first period. The Flying Warriors then scored the only second period goal on Sorenson's shot at the 14:26 mark with assists going to Desroscher and Emily Stark.

East Grand Forks put the game away in the third period with four unanswered goals.

The Flying Warriors Kierra Howard stopped 27 shots.
