CLC allows 64 points in second half in loss

The Central Lakes College Raiders were done in by a 64-point second half from Anoka-Ramsey to fall 98-48 Saturday in the Central Lakes Classic.

Cassie Pearson led Central Lakes in scoring with 18 points. Alicia Johnson was next with 10 and Trisha Wippler scored seven.

Anoka-Ramsey was effective in applying full-court pressure and jumped out to a 9-2 lead. The Raiders were able to tie the score at 13, but Anoka-Ramsey went on a run to lead 25-13 at the 6:36 minute mark of the first half. A 3-pointer by Marie Hanson at the buzzer gave Anoka-Ramsey the 24-19 halftime lead.

Hanson lead the way for Anoka-Ramsey with 17 second-half points to finish with 24.
