A workshop on gender communication is scheduled for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Business and Industry Center at Central Lakes College, Brainerd.
Women and men communicate most effectively when they understand the cultural differences unique to each gender. This session is designed to promote the best possible communication between men and women in the workplace.
The first step to meaningful inter-gender communication is learning the cultural differences that define what is right for men and women. The instructor is Jean Mershon. Fee is $35, with registration due by Dec. 1. For more information, call (800) 933-0346 ext. 8142 or 855-8142.
Farm forum is Dec. 4 at Staples campus of CLC
STAPLES - Farmers and agribusiness professionals are invited to the 21st Farm Forum Dec. 4 at the Staples campus of Central Lakes College.
It is hosted by the Farm Business Management program, which is based at the CLC Ag Center near Staples. The theme is "Profiting in the Current Agricultural Economy."
The event starts at 10 a.m. in the Assembly Room (C168). The program will conclude shortly after 3 p.m. The agenda includes tax planning, commodity marking tips, using crop insurance as a revenue tool, current credit market overview, the new farm program and a renewable fuels update.
