LITTLE FALLS - Morrison County sheriff's deputies on Tuesday arrested a 55-year-old Randall man following an undercover investigation into the sale of large amounts of marijuana in the county.
In a news release Wednesday, Sheriff Michel Wetzel said the suspect met an undercover officer Tuesday in Scandia Valley Township and sold approximately eight pounds of packaged marijuana. The suspect was arrested at the scene for felony sale of controlled substances and a search warrant was executed immediately following the arrest at his residence located on the 200 block of Riverview Court in Randall.
At the residence deputies located approximately three more pounds of marijuana, .4 gram of cocaine, scales, packaging equipment and other drug paraphernalia.
The total street value of the seized marijuana was approximately $44,000, Wetzel said. In addition to drugs deputies also seized just more than $500 in cash.
The suspect is being held in the Morrison County jail pending formal charges.
According to Wetzel, this was the single largest seizure of marijuana in Morrison County in the recent past.
