Current exhibits at area galleries, all with free admission, include:

The Old Crow Art Show, work by the Brainerd Area Art Club, 2-6 p.m. Tuesday in Gallery 119 at the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd.
Lightening the mood
The annual City of Lights celebration will light up the evening Friday in the Nisswa Pioneer Village. Look for cider and donut holes and crafts by the Black Bear 4-H Club at 4:45 p.m., children's storytelling at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
A fishy read
Kathryn Nordstrom, author of "The Fish House Book: Life on Ice in the Northland," will be signing books at three area locations Saturday:
11 a.m.-noon at Rainy Days Book Store in Nisswa.
2-3 p.m. at Book World in the Westgate Mall in Baxter.
7:30-9 p.m. at the Blue Ox Bar in downtown Brainerd.
Kicking off the holidays
Just For Kix of Brainerd will present its annual holiday shows, each featuring about 25 numbers, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday in the Brainerd High School gym. Tickets are $3-$5.
