The Brainerd Family YMCA will kick off its 10th annual Y Partners Support Campaign on Monday with a goal of $40,000.

Tax-deductible contributions from this fundraising campaign will provide membership and program assistance to youths and families in financial hardship. This year close to 700 individuals qualified for a free or reduced membership. The YMCA currently serves more than 3,400 members and 4,500 program participants each year. No one is turned away for an inability to pay. More information may be obtained by calling the YMCA at 829-4767.

Warrior Nordic Ski team fundraiser planned

The Warrior Nordic Ski team has planned a day care for shoppers fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 28 at First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd. Children will be cared for by the Brainerd High School Nordic Ski team members and adults will be present as well. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided but bring a bag lunch if the child will be present during the lunch hour.

Cost is $4 per hour for one child; and $3 per hour for each child if there's more than one child in a family.
