The Washington High School class of 1957 will meet 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Northwind Grille for lunch.

Class of 1944

Class of 1944 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Wendy's.

All-you-can-eat-breakfast planned

The Brainerd American Legion will serve the Commander's all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. Cost is $6.

No doughnuts due to holiday

The Lakes Area Senior Activity Center will not be making donuts Thursday as it is a holiday.

National Epilepsy Awareness month

November is National Epilepsy Awareness month. Nearly three million Americans are living with epilepsy, that is more than Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy combined. For more information on epilepsy contact the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota at efmn.org. Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES

Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES will celebrate Thanksgiving with the meeting to be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall with dinner at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served by Shirley Hauck.

Holiday bake sale and silent auction

Good Samaritan Society-Bethany will be hosting a holiday bake sale and silent auction from 9 a.m. until gone on Dec. 4 in the community room. There will be lefse, almond cake, krumkake, rosettes, cookies, bars, divinity, caramel rolls and more. The holiday silent auction will be Dec. 2-9 with closing bids announced at 3 p.m. Dec. 9. This is a fundraiser for the apartment covered entrance.

BNSF Vets breakfast meeting

The BNSF Vets breakfast meeting will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at Northwind Grille. The Christmas party will be discussed.

Brainerd class of 1980 pre-reunion meeting

The Brainerd High School class of 1980 will host a pre-reunion meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at The Pickle in Nisswa. The 2010 reunion plans have been set and registrations forms are being distributed. Plan on attending the meeting to pick up a form for yourself or one for former 1980 classmates you may be in contact with.

Senior dances

Senior dances will be from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Motley with music by Jerry B.; and from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at Waukenabo. There will be no dance on Thursday.

Wine and beer tasting benefit

BAY LAKE - A wine and beer tasting is planned for 3-5 p.m. Nov. 28 at Lonesome Pine Restaurant on Katrine Drive on the south edge of Bay Lake for Wild and Free Wildlife Rehabilitation Program. Tickets are $20 per person. The event is co-sponsored by Cashwise Liquors of Brainerd and Lonesome Pine. Tickets are available at Lonesome Pine, Cashwise Liquors, Garrison Animal Hospital and at the door.
