Navy Reserve Seaman Recruit Ross P. Koehnen, son of Gloria A. and Keith L. Koehnen, Baxter, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

National Guard Soldiers PV2 Kayla Plante, daughter of Laura and John Dukowitz, Cushing, and Don and Marsha Plante, Fort Ripley, completed her basic training and will return following her senior year at Little Falls High School to complete her Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for 68K, Medical Lab Technician. The basic training was completed at Fort Jackson, S.C., while her training next year will be at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Navy Seaman Recruit Brady W. Hopkins, son of Marla J. Carey, Backus, and Roger A. Hopkins, Akeley, was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
