Luberts named to all-state team

Kneisl makes second squad

Pierz Pioneer running back Craig Luberts was named to the Associated Press all-state first team while Verndale Pirates defensive lineman Jason Kneisl was named to the all-state second team.

Luberts rushed for 2,103 yards this season and scored 39 touchdowns. Kneisl collected 9.5 sacks and made 145 tackles for the Pirates.

Brainerd's Nate Lucas was named to the honorable mention team as a defensive lineman along with Staples-Motley linebacker Adam Johnson.
