NEW YORK (AP) -- Brooke got a broken heart but Helene got engaged in the final showdown of the hit romance-reality series "The Bachelor."
Dropping to one knee, Aaron Buerge put the ring on Helene Eksterowicz's finger in the ABC show's closing moments Wednesday.
"Will you marry me?" he asked.
"Yes, I will," she replied. "Without a doubt."
"I'm really looking forward to sharing my life with you," said Buerge, a 28-year-old banker from Springfield, Mo.
The proposal on the two-hour finale concluded Buerge's eight-episode odyssey test-driving would-be partners while the audience eagerly looked on.
Rapper arrested
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Actress-rapper Queen Latifah was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol early Wednesday, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The hip-hop star was driving in North Hollywood when she was stopped about 3:15 a.m. for making an unsafe lane change, officer Alex Delgadillo said.
Shriver stalked
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Television journalist Maria Shriver has obtained a restraining order against a man she claims is stalking her.
Shriver, the 47-year-old wife of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, said Bruce Fiorani, 45, had been leaving messages for her at NBC for more than a year.
He initially claimed he was a high school friend although he was a "complete stranger," she wrote in court documents.
