Buckling up

Crow Wing County law enforcement agencies, starting today and running through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, will crack down on drivers whose children are not buckled up.

The program, called Operation ABC Mobilization, is a twice-a-year, week-long enforcement of child passenger safety laws. It will also focus on drunk driving.

Area law enforcement agencies participating are Crow Wing County Sheriff's and Brainerd, Crosslake, Crosbyand Deerwood police departments. State troopers will stop seat belt violators in Crow Wing County Wednesday as part of the Safe and Sober program.
