Holiday event planned in Pequot Lakes; Santa is coming to town

PEQUOT LAKES - "Santa's Bobbin' into Town" inaugurates events in Pequot Lakes for the holiday season.

Festivities begin Nov. 29 and include a contest for decorated business store fronts judged by shoppers. Judging forms will be available at downtown businesses with a prize for the "Best Santa's Bobbin' Into Town." The store front decorating deadline is Nov. 27. Additional activities are planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 29 with extended shopping hours and a coloring contest, with coloring sheets available at downtown stores.

Santa's Bobbin' into Town events also are planned on Thursday nights and Saturdays in December, including pet photos with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6. Event sponsors are TDS Telecom, Prudential Insurance/Roger LaPointe and Lonesome Cottage.
