Vera Heglund

CROSBY - Vera Emmaetta Heglund, age 93, of Crosby, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Care Center in Crosby. She was born on August 1, 1914, in Deerwood, Minn., to James and Leona (Moon) Shearing. She married Harry Michael Heglund on Aug. 20, 1960, in Crosby. She is a retired nurses aide, giving 30 years of service to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Miners Hospital and the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was a member of Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; one brother, Hart Shearing; and one sister, Esther Santos.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 23 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
