Ramona 'Mona' Volk

EUGENE, Ore. - Ramona June "Mona" Volk, age 76, a former Brainerd resident from 1978 to 2007, died at her home in Eugene, Ore., on Nov. 9, 2009. While in Brainerd she worked for the school foster grandparent program. She attended public schools in Waterville, Minn. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Evans, of Eugene, Ore., and Peggy Lee Ann Bode, of St. Peter, Minn.; two sons, Stephen Volk, also of St. Peter, and Bradley Volk, of Merrifield, Minn.; and three brothers, Bernard Kavitz, Mississippi, Kenneth Kavitz, Rochester, Minn., and James Kavitz, Williamsburg, Va.

A memorial service was held Nov. 16 at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene. Cremation was held.
