Anna Bertilson Banks
Anna Mae Bertilson Banks, 80, Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
She was born July 31, 1928, in Butterfield, Minn., to Julius and Ida (Longland) Bertilson. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Odin, Minn. Anna Mae attended school near Butterfield. For the past several years she lived in Brainerd, Minn., and has been a resident at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
She is survived by her children, Debra DesRosiers, Brainerd, Charles (Diane) Banks, Brooklyn Park, Gregory Banks, Brainerd; two grandchildren, Daniel (Rebekah) Banks, Andover, Jonathan (Hannah) Banks, Shoreview; and two great-grandchildren, Colton and Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Olive Fossum, Florence Caskey, Ilene Sloggy; and brothers, Bert and Henry Bertilson.
Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at 4 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barbara Christenson officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the St. Olaf's Lutheran Cemetery in St. James, Minn.
