Employment status: "I've been unemployed for two to three years. I can do pretty much anything. I've helped assemble cabinets. I've had a few jobs in Brainerd since I moved here in 1972. I worked at Palmer Motors for awhile and I did construction jobs. I'm trying to find work through the WorkForce Center."

Greatest fear: "Not having a job. I need to make some money."

What would you do if you won the Powerball: "I'd get myself a car, a better place to live and a job. But I wouldn't win because I don't play."

Richard Dewes, who lives in northeast Brainerd, recently took a minute after eating at the Dairy Queen at the Westgate Mall to talk about his life.
