PEQUOT LAKES -- Emma Elizabeth McEvoy, 82, Pequot Lakes, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Herreid, S.D., to Joseph and Bernadine (Hahne) Traxinger. After receiving her education, she went to work for Boeing in Seattle. She married Alfred I. McEvoy on Dec. 26, 1941, in Seattle. They worked at Boeing for 10 years before moving to Cannon Falls. While living in Cannon Falls, she taught in area Catholic schools. In 1970, they moved to Remer where they owned and operated a resort. After retirement, they moved to Pequot Lakes.
Survivors include a son, Louie, Prior Lake; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary; and a brother, Clarence.
Her husband; a son, David; six sisters, Clara, Anna, Ann, Ida, Rose and Sue; and three brothers, John, Joseph and Edward, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes.
