INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Air Force junior Justin Tyner of Baxter was selected for the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships as the NCAA selection committee announced Sunday the field for the upcoming national meet.
Tyner will be the first Air Force runner to compete at the NCAAs since 2007.

He earned an automatic selection following a fifth-place finish at the Mountain Region Championships Saturday with a career-best 10,000-meter time of 30:29.5. His finish at the regional tied him for the best individual finish by an Air Force runner since 2003.
Tyner has competed on the national championship course in Terre Haute, Ind., this season, placing 21st at the Pre-Nationals Meet in mid-October.
Thirty-one teams and 38 individuals were selected to participate in the men's and women's races. The NCAA meet will be run Nov. 23 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 11:08 a.m.
